The Bar Index describes how close a property is to the nearest bar or nightlife venue.
What the Index Measures
Distance to the closest bar.
- Higher scores: nightlife nearby
- Lower scores: fewer bars nearby, often quieter areas
You may later decide to invert this (if quiet is better) for some audiences, but for now we keep the simple “higher = closer” rule.
Numeric Scale & Quality Interpretation
Same standard scales.
- 18/20 = very close to bars (good for nightlife, not for quiet).
- 3/20 = remote from nightlife.
